Big Cupcake Birthday

We are having such beautiful weather today,smells like Summer in the air. I spent the afternoon sitting outside with my card making supplies,trying to get some energy together to tackle the garden it's going to be lots of work. Maybe I should have a little nap first...


The big cupcake card is made with Hero Arts CG157 and CM003. Also used Tim Holtz Antique linen,worn lipstick and a touch of glitter.
Thought I would share a photo of the Aster flowers I picked up for the garden, they look like one the of cling flower sets from Hero Arts that I have been eyeing.

Tea for Two

I just melted when I saw this stamp online, still playing around with it trying to decide on the next card to make.
Here in Canada it's the Victoria Day Weekend. Victoria Day celebrates Queen Victoria's birthday on May 24th. This weekend marks the start of Summer here in Ontario and its the weekend I start my gardening. (It usually warms up by May 2-4 & we don't have to worry about frost.) Victoria day also means Monday off of work which is a super nice treat!

Crayola Hydrangea

Good morning and happy Wednesday! Just a quick card made with Hero Arts Hydrangea k5376 and CL148. Both the flower and sentiment are stamped with Crayola markers and a light spray of water using a Tim Holtz mini mister. Also added some zig zag stitches with the sewing machine.

Wildflower Birthday Card using markers

A new card to share made with Hero Arts k5404 Wild Flowers, AR169 Butterflies and CM003 Happy Birthday.
The flowers are made by applying markers on the rubber stamp. (I just used crayola and Laurentien markers). Also 3 or 4 light sprays of water directly on the stamp using a Ranger mini mister. The butterflies & sentiment are stamped with Tim Holtz worn lipstick.

Butterflies and Wildflowers Birthdays

Just a few Birthday cards to share using Hero Arts Butterflies and Wildflowers. I can see using this wildflower stamp quite a lot for backgrounds and different cards. I'm glad part of this months theme at Hero Arts is Birthdays as I can always use these cards. We always mail a card to our close relatives before their Birthday to let them know we are thinking of them. I use a Birthday book to keep track of all the Birthdays. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Mothers Day!

Wishing all the Mothers out there all wonderful day today, you deserve it! Our little Mother to be Birdie is doing good and made it through a very cold windy and night. We went for a little walk and checked on her and yep she is still sitting on her eggs! This is so exciting to watch. I also discovered today that our lilly of the valley has blossomed which I did not notice yesterday (they smell so good) and also these wild umbrella looking wild flowers which come up every year in the shade and blossom under the leaves. Getting back to this cute birdie my husband (Mike) put out some bits of bread (wonder bread) out for the bird. Since it is Mothers Day he tells me that she deserves a treat too! That's so sweet honey! :) Happy Sunday and Happy Mothers Day!

Bird's nest update!

We are having a wind storm here today and its really cold too. My husband went to check on the birds nest and found a large branch fell directly on the nest and the bird was gone. Well he removed the branch & also took a quick photo, I am happy to report that the bird is back sitting on the eggs!

Hydrangea Card

Hydrangea card made with Hero Arts k5376. I used a page from a novel and soaked it in Antique linen distress ink from Tim Holtz. The flower is coloured with Copics and a thin layer of antique linen to give the flower an old soft look. Reinforced the text and glued a piece of card stock to the back of it and added pop dots to the base of the card. Thank you for looking :)
