Opening up the craft room

I've been crafting a little more these days. Pulled out the Copics and got to busy. Have a rain theme happening here since it rains every day this Summer.

Used the Copic airbrush and rain themed stencil. Hand cut a mask to go over the image while I sprayed the rain drops. .
mask added

Pulled out some old cardstock and put the card together.
Thanks for peeking.

Just a note ...

A little bit of afternoon crafting today, made this simple card using a pretty pattern paper called Sweet Threads and cardstock. Trying to add more stitches and pp's to my cards for a different look!

Hope the start of your Summer has been good. We are having tons of rain here, guess our April Showers are late this year :)

Butterflies & Lace

I am so happy we've made it to March 1st! Spring is almost here and it won't be long before we start to see signs of life on the garden :)
It's been a while since I have used these butterflies so it was nice to ink up my old favorite set call butterflies and lace (AR169). I usually like to add elements in odd numbers but for this card one butterfly did not seem like enough and 3 was too many. So I decide to leave it at 2 and stamped the third one inside the card! I love using frayed burlap with kraft paper as it seems to be the closest match to kraft.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great inky week!

Winters Butterfly

Hope everyone is doing well, its been a busy few weeks and I look forward to some down time at Christmas to do some extra creating and blog visiting too!
I recently purchased this winters butterfly clear set and have truly enjoyed using it. The sentiment is one of my all time favorites and the snowflakes are so delicate they just give a wonderful Winter feel!

Tags are made with Hero Arts CL234 Winters Butterfly, cg125 Friends Definition. The sentiment is masked for a different look, the background snowflakes are made with broken china and peeled paint distress inks applied gently with a sponge and the negative portion of a die cut. The friends definition is lightly stamped using antique linen, the sides of the tags are distressed in tea dye from Tim Holtz.

Thanks for stopping have a great Weekend and Happy USA Thanksgiving to everyone!

Butterfly Love

I have been inspired by all the simple and clean designs made by the gals on the Hero Arts Flickr site. Just had to try making one too!

Made with Hero Arts CL342 Everyday Sayings and the butterflies are Martha Stewart's classic butterfly punch.

Happy Stamping!

Mustard, Navy & Hot Pink?

Made for Play Date Cafe colour horribilis challenge. Colours include Mustard, Navy and Hot Pink. Quite the color combo, I could never imagine using these colours together until now!

Hero Arts K5298 blooming heart and CL342 Everyday Sayings. The mustard background paper is from Daisyd's Wonder Years card stock and it has a touch of navy blue running through it. Also a bit of zigzag stitches using navy blue thread. The butterflies are made using Martha Stewart classic butterfly craft punch.

August 30th is my Wedding Anniversary and we celebrated over the weekend with a nice dinner. We had ... chicken breast wrapped in bacon topped with roasted green pepper and a whole roasted tomato, drizzled over this was Sun dried tomato and oregano dressing. Not sure how I came up with this but I figured anything wrapped in bacon has to be good! Also had garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. It was really yummy!! If you like garlic try these potatoes, I make them all the time after falling in love with them at a restaurant in Northern Ontario. I just roast at least 2 whole garlic cloves in a touch of oil in the oven until they are nice and brown. In a bowl chop up the garlic into small pieces, add some pepper, garlic salt, chives, and basil. Mix this into your regular mashed potatoes. They are so tasty!!
