Friends forever! -- High Hopes Stamps

Hi there and happy Saturday.
I'm  back today to share a little
card I'm sending to a special friend.

These gals are holding mini
flags and having a bit of Summer  fun.
My first thought was to create a red/white and red white and blue card themed card. I changed my mind and decided on a Summer scene. Just two gals loving their countries and enjoying the day!
Coloured with Copic  markers,
fussy cut along with added die cut flowers that have been airbrushed with Copics.

Garage sale time!

Although I did not make it out to the garage sales this weekend I still have a post to share from last weekend. A few things for the craft room. More storage which you can never have enough of.

First off I always wipe down and clean anything I bring into the house. So these little finds are left in the back yard while I made breakfast.

I love going to garage sales with hubby. He makes me smile :) Anytime there's a lemonade stand he will buy a  few cups (not actually have any) but  tell the kids that he is paying for the next few customers that stop by! :)   :)   :)

That cute little sewing machine I picked up for a buck.  I actually picked it up for a friend that wants to sew on cards. Too bad it does not work properly. So it's in the trash and I will keep on looking for her!
That singer thing in the back of the photo is a sewing machine cover and it totally fits my
sewing machine so for 2 bucks I was quite thrilled with that find!
I've been on the lookout for globes that I can alter and came across this lamp. It actually lights up. It was 2 bucks and it's now in the craft room! The white wire rack is from Provocraft for paint bottle storage.  Not quite sure what I will be doing with this find...it was also 2 dollars.
The tall red Ikea shelf was 5 bucks and probably intended for CD's.  I was not sure
how I was going to use it but I figured it would come in handy in the craft room!
The other caddy in the photo will be handy for note pads, pens ect and was only a dollar.
 and a close up!!
Here's the lamp in action :)
And the shelf put to use. Wood stamp storage, well that just worked out perfect!
A little DYI with the caddy.  I try to look at the bones of a piece remember look past the colour .. you can always paint it to
change the look.  I used cream colour chalk paint and a light sanding for a distress look.

And the almost  finished project! Still need to fit the washi roll in and paint the dowel. That will be for another day!

Thanks for peeking. Looking forward to the next garage sale share!

Love and a cat - High Hopes Stamps

Today's creation is made
with the following High Hopes stamps...
and
I had some scraps of canvas fabric
in my stash and decided to put it to
good use. I sew up the canvas and
made some bags.
Also created a friendship tag stamped on canvas:) !!
Heat pressed a cute sentiment on the back  that reads "all you need is love and a cat"
I used my High hopes stamps with
Stazons Ink  and and applied it to the
front of the bag.
Pulled out my Copic markers and
coloured the canvas.
Some tips I have if your going to try this technique ... (as I discovered along the way).
Let the ink fully dry (probably  let dry overnight is the best).  I had some minor smudging along the way.  Partially due to the fact that I didn't give my ink a chance to dry and its best to dot (up and down)  the marker in areas with a lot of ink lines ( like the face).
The background is airbrushed using copic markers along with a die cut cloud that I used as a stencil.
Patches approves this project! :)

With Summer just around the corner there are Garage Sales popping up everywhere.
I basically went to bed last night at 9pm after a long day at work and my crappy allergies driving my crazy! .
Up at 7am  for garage sales with
my best bud for a few hours!
It's always a great time, laughing and smiling. It really is an event I look forward to.

There are always Scrappy finds, vintage items  or thing I think/wonder  can be altered or bedazzled.
Here are a few items that made it into the craft room this week.
First off some pretty flowers for a dollar  (Above). I've had the vase empty for awhile so that work great and hubby swears they look real lol!!
Here's another favorite find that I picked up today.  I don't actually play Scrabble but love the wood letters for scrapbooking!!
The last little gem found was Vintage Look postcards that will be fun at Halloween. These were also a quarter!
Anyways, that's the little bit  of  fun or the day!!
