Wintery Christmas Ornament -- High Hopes Stamps

Hi there, thanks so much for stopping my today. Christmas is just around the corner and I've started to think about the tree and taking the ornaments out from the basement. It's always tons of work to get everything decorated for the holidays but well worth it in the end.
I usually get together with a few friends every year and we each make a Christmas project and teach each other how create our project. It's always a fun time and I was thinking why not try and make an ornament!
So here it is!!! I found a clear plastic ornament at my local dollar store. It was filled with tinsel which I removed and added my own assortment of sequences, gems mini ornaments and other odds and ends too!  Everything is hot glued inside the ornament and basically I dropped hot glue from the top of the opening and used a pencil to press all the parts and pieces into the glue. The image was rolled up and dropped into the ornament onto a bed of hot glue.  It was a little tricky but just played around with it until I liked the look.

Thanks for peeking! Hope you get crafty and make an ornament for the tree :)

Think Snow! High Hopes Stamps

If you like it or not Winter is on it's way and if you live in my part of the world we had our first snow fall last night.  I haven't accepted this change in weather as of yet and taking my snowy / frozen clothes off the laundry line after work yesterday totally proves that!

I love the designs in this stamp release. Many darling  details like the sweet candy canes in this Snowman's pocket. The tree  has added acrylic paint to give a soft and snowy look. Hot glued cotton to the base of the tree and an added star for the tree topper.
The sentiment is from High Hopes from the snowman mini set found here
Thanks for peeking! Have a crafty rest of the week :)

Wasn't me -- High Hopes Stamps

Hi there, It's Nat and I'm back again to share a little Christmas design using High Hopes Wasn't Me found here.
I added cotton for  the snow and red gems in various sizes for the ornaments. The star that the mouse is holding was punched from one of those tiny mini punches. I love using white acrylic paint for a snowy look and I added that to the fence which I think pops against the Kraft paper.
I have two cats so I know from experience this scene  is totally possible! I have pictures of my cats peeking out of the tree  getting into all sorts of trouble.
We even tie down the tree with a piece of twine so the tree is not moved by our curious kitty's. Also no ornaments close to the bottom of the tree as that is just an inventation for a kitten play area!
This little guy is helping by picking up the ornaments and star to re-decorate!
Here's a little pic of my sweet  Margie  hanging out under the tree and yes that a bag of cat toys :D

Jingle Bells - High Hopes Stamps

Hi there! I have a little card to share using the super super cute Snowy Couple from High Hopes..
I decided to keep the the colours on this card more muted while trying to make the reds the feature on this design :)
The sentiment is an all time fave of mine. Also from High Hopes.  Jingle Bells can be found here :)
The added glitter is glued down with Glossy Accents.  I love using it on glitter as it sticks super good with little mess once dried.
The little dots of snow were created using a white Sharpie poster marker. This marker is more of a paint and pops against darker colours.

I couldn't decide how to add the sentiment and always try to make it looks like it flows with the design. In this case little banners were created, shaped and hot glued into place.  I hope you have the Jingle Bells song in you head after looking at this card :D
Have a very crafty day :D
