Just trying out a new stamp along with some paper roses I made this afternoon. It's my first time using a doily on a card for an added lacy touch.

Merry Christmas

It`s been a few days since I have posted as things have been pretty busy getting ready for the big day and visiting family and friends. Ive also been working on my lesson plans and card samples trying to get a head start on the first few card classes in 2011.

I truly wish you a wonderful Christmas spent with friends and loved ones! Although this is a very happy time of year filled with holiday cheer it can also be a tough time for many people. My heart goes out to those who find this time of year difficult,and I send huge hugs to you.I hope you find peace in the little things of the season which are the most meaningful.

This card is made with pink pasilee Father Christmas 6x6 papers which has been my go to card stock for the holidays. The tree is a Magenta rubber stamp using the emboss resist technique.

Hello :)

It's been snowing here for the past few days and besides doing a lot of eating and sleeping for the first few days of my holidays also been going for walks with my husband.I've started to bring my camera and was lucky enough to see my first woodpecker which is an amazing bird, noisy but super beautiful!


I've been patiently waiting to set up the Christmas tree and hope to get it decorated tonight. I really would like my Hubby to help decorate it, totally not his cup of tea but he promised so I will wait until he has time :)
Here is a quick pic of some of the vintage pink ornaments that will be on the tree, hopefully before my cat gets a hold of them!

Christmas glitter

Its been too much fun playing around with glitter! I have a bit of cleaning to do today as my work room nice and sparkley. These cards were made by stamping the flourish on a glue pad and adding fine glitter.

Now for some exciting news Hero Arts is having their big blog hop on Friday to preview new stamps from the 2011 Catalog (Yippie, I can hardly wait to see the new catalog!!!). These sneak peeks have been driving me crazy, this will be the first chance to see the new stamps in action on December 10th here!

Christmas Tags

Just a quick post tonight with a few Christmas tags. Ive been playing around with perfect pearls and distress inks! Kinda different but these were fun to make!

Made with Hero Arts CL469, CL343 for the reindeer tag and CL465, CL460 for the tree. These Christmas clear stamp sets are just wonderful for creating and the sentiments are truly my favorite!!

Rustic Christmas

Spent this weekend getting ready for Christmas, still no shopping but I managed to decorate the front of the house and make my Christmas cards. Setting up the Christmas tree will be next weekend which I am really excited about, I have been collecting vintage Christmas ornaments over the last few years and I cant wait to get them on the tree. Also started searching for old ornaments at our local junk and thrift stores on Saturday and I was able to find a few!
