We will be staying in relaxing with some munchies and home cooking!

 

Tonight is the last night for the Lights and the tree, yep everything comes down Jan 1st.

Vintage Christmas Memories

This little box of Vintage goodies sits in my Christmas Tree.  The picture is of  my Mom with Santa,  I just love black and white Christmas photos. The little house/church is an old ornament  which actually lights up and the angel is vintage too.

The added rosette is a Tim Holtz Die and Stamp along with the snowflakes. There is also old mercury balls, bells and tinsel added in with the treasures!

Christmas Cookies & the Dollar Store!

 

No, I did not buy my Christmas Cookies at the dollar store! LOL!!!I made some peanut butter cookies using the recipe on the back of Kraft's crunchy Peanut Butter.  The ribbon is from the dollar store,  Dollarama now has May Arts Ribbon?? Totally excited as these ribbons are beautiful :)

Dollarama has tons of crafting supplies and name brands like Fiskars! You never know what your going to find :) Not sure if there are any Dollarama's in the US but we have a ton of them here in the Toronto area.

We've had a very bad Ice storm almost a week ago. Some parts of Toronto are still without hydro, we've been very lucky. Everything was coated with ice!

Advent ATC swap Dec 23rd -- Vintage Christams 1953

 

For the past few years I have participated in Deja`s Christmas Advent ATC swap.

This year my ATC is for December 23rd. I made 25 cards, all the same and received 25 back, one for each day leading up to Christmas.

Added some vintage Christmas packaging to my atc. Along with a gingerbread recipe and other little details :)

I love Willard!!!

Ok, I know he's just a fictional character but he's so darn cute!!! Love that chilled look on his face. Totally sweet :)

I coloured Willard with Copics and airbrushed the background using a snowflake die cut. A few other finishing touches such as  flocking on his hat and touches of red glitter for the tree and scarf.

I love having a selection of cards on hand and will most likely use this  for the next baby shower at work. Love the clouds and totally sweet elephant stamp, another awesome set from Kraftin Kimmie! :)

 

The pearls are hot glued to my card and background embossed with a Swiss dots texture which reminds me of a baby's blanket.

Super fun stamp set, created with Kraftin Kimmie's "Once upon a time" and coloured with Copic markers.  The background sky, ground and clouds were air brushed using Copics! This background scene can also be achieved by using distress inks and a cloud die cut :)

Vintage Christmas

 

I think this is one of my favorite angles of all time.  Elysia from Kraftin Kimmie can be found here! I used a lot of earth tones for a vintage look.  A few cotton balls to give a snowy, fluffy cloud, angel hair feel to my design.  The miniature Christmas lights are from my local dollar store, a necklace I found in the Christmas section.

 

 

Coloured with Copics and an old used bow to complete the look.  The frame is from an old K&Co Christmas set.

 

This week our hostess is CHERYL!! And her challenge is VINTAGE CHRISTMAS!!
