Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers day to all the great Dad's out there. This is an old picture of my Grandfather coming home from a fishing trip (and the little gal is me!). He was the kindest person I will ever know and I just smile when I think of all the wonderful & funny memories. I am not big on posting pictures of myself but I do love this photo & will always cherish it. Can you tell what era this photo is from (see that lovely olive green fridge). Yikes, that was one heck of a messy kitchen!
Have a wonderful Fathers Day full of cherished memories.

  8. Lots of good memories from that kitchen!... I may well have taken that photograph. Those trout were caught in the pond at Tottenham. I remember the day. We had an aluminum canoe and we would put in at the back end of the pond and tie up to a log that stuck out of the water. Mostly we caught little brook trout in there, but one day, Dad caught that big rainbow. I remember it very well because there weren't supposed to be rainbow trout in there. At that time, Tottenham was a very quiet little country town. There was no subdivision, no mall, just a couple stores and an old hotel. Times have changed. EK

  9. ... then your grampa would fry up those trout in a little butter with some parsley from his garden for breakfast ... your gramma would pick fresh rasberries for us. Your uncle is right ... lots of good memories from that kitchen.
