tall grasses &butterflies

It was a fun weekend of stamping and hanging out at my local scrap book store. This is one of the cards I made on Saturday. The butterflies are Martha Stewart. Its a two part magnetic punch which allows you to punch anywhere on the page...great idea Martha! Also added this crazy sewing technique which is something new for me and the thing I like about it is you don't have to worry about making mistakes!

90 minute challenge & HA inspiration!

Just a few cards and a quick post this evening. I was lucky enough to have the time on Saturday morning to play along in the Hero Arts 90 minute challenge hosted by sweet Barb. It really is too much fun & I always seem to get a little frantic close to the end of the challenge and once again ended up with black ink smudge on the front of the card! A white gel pen is perfect to hide little accidents like this! Here is the creation ...

and the inside...

Ended up adding some vintage clasps from my button jar for a bit of added bling!

One other quick card to share which was inspired by Kelly Rasmussen's inspirational photo from Fresh Inspiration Friday and page 10 of the new Hero Arts 2011 catalog ... Start with a message and the card will follow.
Here is the inspiration and the link to Fresh Inspiration Friday, check it out and play along too!

Pink cameo - thinking of you

Yay, Friday is finally here, it's been a long Winter week so I am looking forward to a bit of hibernation at home this weekend! Been playing around with a new sewing tool and added some hand stitching on this card around the oval and also a touch on the lace. This card was inspired by the beautiful silhouette card on page 69 of the new Hero Arts 2011 catalog.

Dogwood Flowers

We are getting our fair share of snow today and it's the perfect excuse to stay inside and spend the day making cards! I am already wishing Spring was here, usually by January I've had enough of the cold weather. We still have at least three months to go before there will be signs of life starting in the garden!
