Summer Butterflies -- mixed media canvas

I love seeing all the mixed media and journaling projects that have been so popular lately. This gal was created using a Unity stamp from Christy  Tomlinson,  along with Hero Arts Music Background and  Friends Definition.

The canvas is small and I decided to just stamp half  of this gal for a different look.  Ranger White enamel accents came in handy for a bit of texture and Claudine Hellmuth's matt medium is a must have for applying  paper to your canvas.

My neighbour decorates weddings and is always sending my hubby home with Flowers. I love the layers in this soft pink bloom. Just amazing!

I've also been doing a bit of late night baking. Which also means late night eating too. Yikes!

My Hubby pulled a name for the K&Co Stickers from my last post "mini giveaway"
Yay Leslee!!  I will contact you for your snail mail details :)

Tomorrow's Friday and a long weekend! Hope it is a good one for you :)

Will a kiss make it better?

Its been a busy few weeks trying to get the most out of Summer before it ends. Made Peach Jam this week and also attended a friends beautiful backyard party!

Unfortunately, I seem to be a walking hazard to myself lately. Started with banging my arm on the side of the deck, then while hanging laundry a walnut dropped  from our huge walnut tree at high speed hitting the same arm. Few days after that I managed to badly burn my arm on the kettle while making the morning coffee....

Does anyone have some bubble wrap and a helmet I can use?? LOL :)

Anyways, its all good, and luckily I have a Nurse sitting behind me at work (thanks Miss K!! )

Thought this sweet Unity stamp had the perfect sentiment!

close up using Copics and creating a background for this sweet scene!

Also wanted to share a photo of my Friends Sweet daughter and her pup. I thought this photo was totally perfect for this stamped scene. This sweet gal is now in high school and just returned home  after taking a Summer Science credit  in Mexico. How cool is that? (Welcome home Miss B)!

I have a few K & Co Sticker Sets and would love to do a mini giveaway. Just leave a comment and I will have hubby pick a name next week!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!!

Summer Angel

Just a quick post tonight. I've been colouring some Kraftin Kimmie images and made a little scallop card! I really love this stamp as I think it can easily be transformed from a Christmas Stamp and used for a Summer Design. You could even take off the wings and again change her from an angel to a sweet gal! Lots of options here, which I like!

and some sweet chicks and hens from the garden! :)
