2017 Pumpkin Carving! Halloween Fun.

Every year I pick one of the pumpkin carvings from the Cricut Cartridge to use for Halloween. This year I decided on this creepy hand

Actually to back up just a bit I wasn't going to bother carving a pumpkin this year.  I'm super busy and working 6 days a week extended hours  every day.  We don't really get a lot of kids anywhere from 1 to I think 7 kids at the most.  We live outside of the subdivision so the kids don't bother walking all the way down the street for a few houses.

Last night my Husband said we should still decorate and carve the pumpkin even if it is for one kid that may be disappointed if the arrived and we had nothing for them. So I agreed and carved this pumpkin up.

My first two kids arrived and the one little guy was soooo excited when he saw the pumpkin and ask me if I carved it!!!
Well..... I'm over the moon and so glad I'm shelling out this year!
..and so far 5 kids have knocked on the door!! woot woot :D !!!
So here's the stencil, cut with the Cricut pumpkin carvings!
I use a sharpie marker and trace around it.
Carved out the negative space and then use a scrubbie to remove any excess marker.
And were ready for Oct 31st!!!
Thanks for peeking!
Happy Halloween!!!!

Naughty List -- High Hopes Stamps

 Happy Happy Saturday!
Still creating away this time I'm using High Hopes ...
&
The card base was created using a score board, it gives a nice 3D dimension
and folds nicely to put in the mail.
The trees are snow covered using a little acrylic paint, this sweet little elf
was coloured with Copic Markers and the snowy hills were embossed and hand cut!
Santa and the reindeer are die cut images and I also made them snowy too!

Remember Santa's watching and he knows when your good!

Christmas Love -- High Hopes Stamps

Hi there and Happy Saturday!
Today's creation is made with ...
A little tag for Christmas all ready to go under the tree. I used a die cut for the tag shape.  You
can always hand cut a tag if a die is not available.
The tree is also hand cut and I added a few branches and white acrylic paint for a
snowy look to this Winter scene.
Pine, pine cones and a textured brackground were all used here!
This owl was coloured with Copic markers and I also used some candy cane twine  :)

some pine trees and lots of red and green. The trees are snowy thanks to  acrylic paint, embossed papers for the snowy hills and a super cute sentiment is  the perfect added touch!

Cutting Pad replacement --Sizzix

I wanted to share my well used die cut machine. I use this  machine almost
every day, bring it to crops and  Scrapfest,
and i'm proud of it
I have to tell you at one of the  last events  my machine was laughed at  because of
the well worn gunky cutting pads, and shims.
I told the ladies that I would have this machine forever and their response was really???
Okay , so I was craft shamed (boo!)...
time for some new cutting pads!
So ... I had hubby cut some plexiglass (and yes those are his taped up glasses in the picture above lol!) in two different sizes.  Perfect for replacement cutting pads. One set for the magnetic platform and the other longer pads for the extended platform.
There's a special cutter specifically for cutting plexi, makes things so much easier!
Yes, I could have just ordered a new set of pads but we already had  the plexi leftover so there was no cost which works for me!
They work like a charm and so much easier to use with
the magnetic platform versus the curved
cutting pads I've been using!
My die cut machine has a makeover and feels like a brand new machine!
