Happy Panda - High Hopes Stamps

Hi, Thanks for stopping by today. I've been playing around with a little bit of Panda Love from High Hopes Stamps.
This card was created using an old calendar which is from one of our local restaurants .  I had hubby cut down the bamboo dowel and fit it over the top of the card. the strips of paper are also from the calendar. I knew my hoarding would come in handy one day!

Here's  a peek in my doodad bin, because you never know when your going to need a piece of garbage lol!

The cherry pink paper is from SEI and I think it adds an oriental feel to the design. I created the tag and added bamboo using Cricut's Pagoda and the writing translates to Friendship.

The image is coloured with Copics and airbrushed,I've used the following colours ..
G14,G16,BG70,BG72,R20,R11,C0,C1, C7, E08,E31,E33,BD75,G24,G28,G29,C2,C3,C5,

Hope you enjoy the rest of the week!

Bunny Blooms High Hopes Stamps

Thanks for peeking in today.  Easter is just around the corner and I thought this design would be a nice way to welcome in Spring!
Used my trusty Mini Sewing machine to create the stitches and layers for this card.  The pattern paper reminds me of a Easter Egg with that fun chevron design.

A quick video to show how I coloured up this image too :)

Colour inspiration for my card!!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoy the rest of the week.

High Hopes new release -- Bella Bear

Thanks for stopping by today! I'm back showcasing another new release from High Hope Stamps and once again I've fallen in love :)

Since Bella Bear is using here walking stick, has her nap sack plus  a rolled scroll which I could only imagine being  a map I decided to create a hiking &  camping scene.
The trail sign was created with an old typewriter for some extra fun!
I've added sewing stitches, a Summery flower and coordinating plaid to create the scene.

Bella Bear can be found here.  Don't forget to play along in this weeks challenge over at High Hopes. A free digi is offered if your short on stamps.

High Hopes New Release -- Fox on the Beach

Thanks for peeking in today. I have a new card to share using High Hopes Fox on the beach stamp! This stamp is  from the new release available on March 19th. I knew exactly how I was going to use this stamp soon as I saw it!
Since we've had a very long, freezing cold Winter here in Toronto I've been dreaming of warm relaxing  beaches, with sand and a beautiful blue sky!
Perhaps Mr Fox is in Hawaii?
I decided on the sentiment "Aloha" after reading the following on Wikipedia ..
"Aloha in the Hawaiian language means affection, peace, compassion and mercy. Since the middle of the 19th century, it also has come to be used as an English greeting to say goodbye and hello. "Aloha" is also included in the state nickname of Hawaii, the "Aloha State".
The flowers are actually from a Hawaiian Lei bought from the dollar store. I dissemble it for a floral look on the design.
Sewing stitches, lightly sponged paint and glossy accents have been added to the card too.

Thanks for peeking in, I hope your Wednesday is a great!

Happy St Patricks Day!

Wishing you a happy St Patty's Day! No projects for today but I wanted to pop in with a March 17th  greeting :)

No green beer for me today but maybe a coffee and Irish cream?  Hubby picked up this treat for me last week and I been saving it... until now  :)
Cheers!

St. Patty's Day shaker card

St Patty's day is just a few days away so I got busy and created this shaker card to help celebrate the day! The plastic window is packaging from a pack of metal brads. This image is from High Hopes called Leapin' Leprechaun. He's such a cutie!! :)

Moose on the Loose!

Thanks for peeking in today, Happy Wednesday!
Just wanted to share a little manly card made with High Hopes Maurice. I loooove this stamp and it truly makes me smile every time I see him.
I added hh to the gas tank for "High Hopes" as it was a friend's suggestion to do so. She also mentioned that it would be fun to put a design on the tank like flames which I will totally have to try next time.  I think also I will add some glossy accents for some more added details.
The pattern paper I've had in my stash for almost as long as I've been scrapbooking. Its actually Harley Davidson pattern paper, how perfect was that ??! The tag and gas tank monogram were both created with rub-ons.
The heart although hard to see is like a leatherette material and I choose the ribbon as it reminded  me of the stitching in leather biker bags along with the metal eyelets.

Laugh and Smile!

Thanks for peeking in today. I've been playing around with this sweet High Hopes  "Little Miss Spring Time" stamp. She is so sweet, I want to squeeze her!!!

Did a bit of fussy cutting and added pop dots for dimension.  The background paper was picked out after I had this gal coloured and it seemed to be a good match with the flowers in her hair and the one she was holding.
The little hill was created with paper pinking scissors and sewing stitches using a thick button thread.

Once again added eyelashes with a fine copic pen which is good because it does not smear when Copic are used over it.

Think Spring -- xox

We've made it through Valentine's and the next stop should be Spring, Easter, St Patty's day? Well .... maybe I am looking a little too far ahead, but if wishful thinking will help get us there sooner I will think Spring!

This little cutie is from High Hopes Stamps new release called Taking a break and can be found here. I coloured her with copics and created the background by adding  clouds, grass and ground covering.

Some extra added touches like the little bow, eyelashes and tiny little flowers which by the way were handmade by a friend (thanks Denise)! The pleated ruffle was also hand made and is super easy to create.
Fold, staple and repeat to create a pleated effect.  I like using Tim Holtz tiny stapler as I find the pleats sit nice and its less bulky.  Although a regular stapler would also work.
Once you have the desired length you can trim the edge for a neater effect.
My tag was created using the old typewriter. Since the tag is so tiny I used low tac painters tape and adhered it to a bigger paper to type the sentiment.

Thanks for peeking in and be sure to play along in this weeks challenge on the High Hopes Blog.  If your short on stamps there is a digi offered so you can play along!
Enjoy the rest of the week!

Tea 4 Two -- High Hopes

Thanks so much for peeking in today.  I adore this sweet couple (Tea for Two) and have many ideas to create cards with this fun stamp! I decided to make an outdoor scene and have the tea cup riding a wave! Silly right?  I know but it makes me smile and hopefully the person that receives this card will be smiling too.
The background was created using a circle die cut for the sun and cloud die cut too.  I did airbrush using a Copic airbrush system but you can totally create the same effect using Tim Holtz distress inks and a distress tool.
A little bit of fussy cutting, sewing stitches and we are done! The sentiment is hand made using old fashion rub-ons!

Stop by the High Hopes Blog and join in on the anything goes challenge.  If your short on stamps there is a free digital stamp that you can use.  Check it out here :)

Little Miss Springtime -- High Hopes Stamps

I've totally fallen in love with the new release over at High Hopes Stamps. This gal goes by the name "Little Miss Springtime" which is perfect timing for me since we had a huge snow storm last night. I need thoughts of Spring to keep me going these days. I could just squeeze this little cutie, she's so adorable!! :)
I tried to use light and airy Spring colours (to match her name) and added Glossy Accents to the polka dots on her dress.

I'm also happy to announce that I will be joining the designing gals over at High Hopes Stamps, I'm totally excited!! :)

Pop by the blog and check out the creations and this weeks challenge, I would love to see yours!
